Group Travel Coordinator internship in New York City

For over 20 years, Company has provided first-class receptive tour services in North America to tour operators all over the world. Located in the heart of New York City, company provides tour operators and groups, comprehensive solutions and services and arrangements including ground transportation, domestic flights, accommodations, attractions, local tour guides, and more. They pride themselves on the personal one-on-one service they offer to their clients and the 24/7 access they provide the tour leaders from the moment they arrive in North America until the group’s departure.
They are looking for a travel coordinator intern to work with them and learn from them to provide the best customer service and travel coordination available.

Travel coordinators are responsible for sourcing, organizing, booking, tracking, and handling travel requests. They ensure that travel needs are met within the constraints of the company travel budget. organizing travel requests, providing and researching travel options and providing itineraries, booking hotels, buses, attractions, restaurants and all other travel-related activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with travel coordination process
  • Must be a good communicator and listener
  • Assist with organization and reservations
  • Research travel options
  • Providing customers with information and possible travel ideas
  • Arrange and book itineraries

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and communication skills, an ability to generate enticing and interesting travel plans.
  • Must be in school or a recent graduate
  • Must have an open mind, be a social person, team worker, and a hard worker
  • Office Microsoft and email knowledge are must.
  • Hyper organized,diligent and somebody who can bring new ideas to the table
Start Date:  ASAP
Location:  New York City
Duration: 12 months
Stipend:   $1,500 per month
